Corporate Controller and Chief Accounting Officer, Alphabet Inc.

Amie Thuener O’Toole serves as Vice President, Corporate Controller and Chief Accounting Officer of Alphabet Inc. In this role, she oversees global external financial reporting and accounting policy. During her tenure at Alphabet, she also led finance teams for the company’s “Other Bets” portfolio from 2018 to 2023, providing governance oversight for businesses including Waymo and Verily.

Prior to joining Alphabet, Amie spent 16 years at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in audit and advisory roles. She also served as a practice fellow at the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB).

Amie previously served on the Board of Directors of Nordstrom, Inc. from 2022 to 2025, where she chaired the Audit Committee and served on the Special Committee overseeing the company’s go-private transaction.

Amie holds a degree in Business Economics and Philosophy from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She is a Certified Public Accountant and a Chartered Global Management Accountant.
