Philz Coffee Joins Keurig Family of Brands

Fans of the San Francisco-based coffee shop Philz Coffee can enjoy their custom blends at home in Keurig® K-Cup® pods following a new multi-year licensing, manufacturing and distribution agreement with Keurig Dr Pepper.

Founded over 20 years ago, Philz Coffee strives to better days through its delicious, customized coffee blends. Each of its proprietary blends are made from sustainably sourced coffee beans, roasted in-house and handcrafted to order. Today, the brand is the third-largest whole bean coffee brand in California and boasts a passionate fanbase of millennial and Gen Z consumers.

“At Philz Coffee, we take pride in the quality and sustainability of our products and our partnership with Keurig is an exciting opportunity to elevate those qualities on a large scale,” says Mahesh Sadarangani, CEO of Philz Coffee. “Our goal is to consistently enhance our customers’ coffee experience, and this partnership is just one of the many ways we aim to provide more opportunities for people to savor our different blends in their everyday routines.”

Two unique varieties of Philz K-Cup pods are available now on Keurig.com:

  • Philtered Soul is a supremely satisfying hazelnut flavored coffee. It is the blend of choice for many who frequent Philz cafes.
  • Tesora is a satisfying coffee with notes of caramel, chocolate and nuts. Seven years in the making and the original blend of Philz Coffee, this treasure is crafted for coffee drinkers, devoted regulars and newcomers alike.

“The heart of the Philz brand is an appreciation for a simple, perfectly brewed cup of coffee, which is the very foundation on which Keurig was built,” says Mauricio Leyva, President of Coffee for Keurig Dr Pepper. “Putting our vision together to deliver two new great-tasting, premium coffee blends, brewed at the push of a button, affirms the Keurig system’s ability to delight the most distinguished coffee connoisseurs.”

Philz K-Cup® pods will also be available in the brand‘s café locations across California and Chicago later this year.
